Police say they're trying to determine if three separate west Louisville scenes are connected.
The first scene is at Grand Avenue and Canopy Court; the second at 36 th and Hale; and the final scene, where police found the victim, at 34 th and Garland. All are just a few blocks away from each other.
Police found one victim, a man police say looks to be in his early to mid 20's, lying at 34th and Garland. Witnesses say he opened the door of a black SUV and just fell out. Family and friends rushed to the victim's side, so upset they were eventually restrained by police.
Blocks away police investigated two other scenes ? Grand Ave and Canopy Court and 36th and Hale.
?We definitely have the evidence of a shooting scene of some sort here (at Grand Ave & Canopy Ct.) It appears it went over to 36th and Hale; and there's a victim of homicide at 34th and Garland,? said LMPD Spokesperson Phil Russell. ?Did the shooting occur here, and for whatever the reason did the victim en up over here? That's what they?re trying to determine at this point.?
Police say this black SUV has evidence the victim was in the car, but aren't sure whether he drove himself or someone picked him up.
?When you have the size of ... If these are connected you have a large scene, potential for multiple witnesses,? said Russell.
People who live on 34th Street say it's typically quiet and people in their 50's and 60's live on this street. But those same people say, bad things happen everywhere.
