A 7th division officer was forced to shoot an armed suspect after police responded to a burglary in progress call in the 7900
block of Ferndale Road in Fern Creek. The incident occurred about 7:45 p.m.
2 suspects fled the scene when officers arrived. One suspect was captured without incident after a short foot chase. The 2nd suspect fled into a wooded area near Watterson Trail and Hurstbourne Parkway where officers found the subject armed with a handgun.
