A man is recovering after being shot overnight in the parking lot of a Louisville motel.
According to Metro Police, the shooting happened around 2:00 a.m. at the Motel 6 at 3200 Kemmons Drive. That's near the intersection of Newburg Road and Bishop Lane.
Police tell us a the man was shot in the stomach while sitting in his car in the parking lot. Somehow the victim was able to walk into the motel lobby to get help.
No arrests have been made at the time, but officers on the scene tell WAVE 3 News that the suspect used a shotgun in the shooting.
The victim was taken to University Hospital. His name and condition have not been released.
