A man shot last night on Dixie Highway near Ormsby Street has been identified as 18-year-old Rashad D. McGinnis.
McGinnis, of the 4300 block of Lynnview Drive, was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple gunshot wounds, said R.D. Jones, a deputy Jefferson County coroner.
Two other people were injured in the shooting that took place sometime after 8 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Dwight Mitchell, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police.
One man walking with McGinnis was shot in the leg. And a third man who was driving south on Dixie Highway was shot in the face.
Both injured men were taken to University Hospital with wounds that were not considered to be life-threatening, Mitchell said. Neither man's name has been released.
McGinnis was found across Dixie Highway from Kings Famous Fried Chicken.
Police have no suspects in the shooting, Mitchell said.
McGinnis is the 13th homicide victim in metro Louisville, including one in Jeffersontown.
