Wayne Walker, 21, has been arrested for the attempted murder of a Louisville Metro Police Officer.
The incident occured Sunday night at approximately 10:45 pm after Walker's vehicle was stopped for investigation near Taylor Boulevard and Oleanda Court.
As the officer attempted to check Walker for weapons, Walker elbowed the officer and began running away.
The officer began chasing Walker, and as both ran in between a building, Walker fired at the officer.
Walker was found a short time later hiding underneath a trailer. In addition to being charged with the attempted murder of a police officer, Walker was also charged with wanton endangerment, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, fleeing a police officer, criminal mischief, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest.
