Three metro corrections officers have been cleared of assault charges and the man who accused them is facing more jail time.
Thursday, jurors found the officers not guilty of using excessive force against 32-year-old inmate Adrian Garner. Garner claimed the officers roughed him up in January.
After the jury found the officers not guilty Garner apparently vocalized his disappointment. District court judge Angela Bisig said, "I know you're upset, know you're not happy about the verdict. However I can't wait to see you out of here."
The judge gave Garner 30 days in jail for contempt on top of the four-year sentence he's currently serving for non-payment of child support.
