Several police agencies were involved in a high speed chase early Wednesday through south Louisville. Police say it started as a possible home invasion in the Newburg area.
Louisville Metro Police received a call from someone saying a woman was being held at gunpoint in her home.
Police got a description of the suspects' vehicle, and after tracking it down, the chase began.
The suspects fired shots at a Kentucky State Police trooper, but no one was injured.
After leading police down Preston Highway and back up I-65, it finally ended back in the Newburg area.
Two suspects were in custody Wednesday morning. Police believe a woman, who was in the vehicle with them, was a hostage. She was not hurt.
