A 47-year-old Milwaukee man will likely face charges after pointing a rifle at police early Sunday night. An officer ended up shooting the man twice. It happened around 5:30 p.m.
Police said they responded to a call about shots fired at Teutonia and Eggert Place. The caller said a person was talking about suicide. When police arrived, the man opened the door with a rifle in his hand. The officers said they ordered him to drop it. When the man refused the offer, an officer shot the man twice, once in each leg.The man is in the hospital. The officer is on administrative duty pending an investigation, which is standard procedure.
