About |
|||||||
Jeff Tang is forever searching for a great story to tell. That search has taken him everywhere from the fabled horseracing tracks of Kentucky to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Three years ago, it brought him to Nashville and to NewsChannel 5. In 2009, Jeff was named Tennessee's Best TV Reporter by the Associated Press for the second straight year. He's also earned four regional Emmy awards, including one for best writer. Prior to coming to NewsChannel 5, Jeff worked as a reporter at WAVE-TV in Louisville, Ky. He also spent time in Lexington, Ky., reporting for WKYT-TV, the CBS affiliate there. A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Jeff remains a diehard Wildcat fan through thick and thin. As a native of Cleveland, Ohio, he also cheers tirelessly for the Browns, Cavs and Indians. When he's not reporting, chances are you'll find Jeff rock climbing at one of Tennessee's many beautiful crags, looking for a great place to eat or rollerblading with his dogs Sadie and Fender. An avid songwriter and a piano player of 19 years, Jeff spends his weekends playing and performing with Local on the 8s, NewsChannel 5's very own band. |
