Dave Mutchler

Dave Mutchler began his career with the Louisville Division of Police in 1997 and was assigned to the 2nd district.

In late 2003 Mutchler was deployed with his United States Marine Corps infantry company to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He returned from Iraq in late 2004 and continued his duties as a patrol officer.

In December 2004 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and was assigned to LMPD’s 7th Division where he served as a late watch platoon sergeant for over two years. In 2007 he was selected to lead the 7th division Flex Platoon. In 2008 Mutchler transferred out of the 7th division and went to work in the Inspections and Compliance Unit where he served as the Court Liaison Sergeant.

Having been a long time FOP member but never having served as an elected delegate or board member, Dave took an interest in serving in an FOP leadership role, and in 2009 was elected to serve as the President of RCFOP Lodge 614.
