Lawrence Smith is a self-described Air Force brat who grew up on military bases all over the world. He graduated from high school in the tiny town of Limestone, Maine, near the Canadian border, has a broadcasting degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and has studied theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Despite his world travels, Lawrence is a Kentuckian at heart. He has lived in Louisville for more than 20 years. Lawrence is a TV news veteran, who has worked at stations in Lexington, KY; Knoxville, TN; and Houston, TX, as well as Louisville. He has covered stories ranging from the tragic Shanda Sharer murder case in Southern Indiana to presidential campaigns from Gerald Ford to George W. Bush. Lawrence and his wife, Garnetta, have two grown sons, Jason and Edward. |
